Special Occasions

Private Dining

For a more intimate, smaller event where you want to make it special, but undertstated we offer private dining in our snug area which can be screened off and seats a maximum 15 people. The space allows an exclusive, yet integrated feel to the other dining rooms.

A non refundable flat fee of £400 is required to secure the space. Booking terms and conditions apply.

For larger parties and events

To the rear of The George sits our wonderful Coach House where we can host your private party. The rooms in the Coach House offer a completely private and intimate venue for up to around forty guests.

The venue can deliver a variety of configurations, from banquet, to conference or theatre . It’s an ideal space for award ceremonies, private parties or simply an excuse for a good old knees up in a unique event space.

Our event menus have a similar style The George dining rooms, featuring simple, British food. The Coach House sits across the courtyard and in Summer months it is shaded by an immense Ash serving as a splendid setting for pre-lunch drinks. The courtyard can be reserved for your sole use and makes the perfect setting for classic car/bike rallies.

Please note that if any of your guests require level access the Coach House has old stone steps to the upper floor and are a little uneven.

Weddings

The upper floor of the Coach House, is an intimate wedding venue for up to forty guests. We offer a service to the wedding party that is a reflection of the style of the pub with rustic furniture and beautiful table settings. Our wedding menus have a similar style, featuring simple, British food.

Working with the bride and groom we create a lunch or dinner party atmosphere where all your guests will be close to you on your wedding day.

We already work closely with Nadia Di Tullio, an incredibly talented and local florist, if Nadia is available we would highly recommend her.

We do not have a wedding licence but we can introduce you to the vicar of St Peter’s, our local church, or the Registrar in Ashbourne.

Please note that if any of your guests require level access the Coach House has old stone steps to the upper floor and are a little uneven.
